OPEN R&D Project was Selected in the Book The Good Collaborator Wins Easily--Selected Excellent Case

In the afternoon of May 9, the book release of The Good Collaborator Wins Easily--Selected Excellent Cases of Shanghai Industry-University-Research Collaboration and the experience exchange meeting of Industry-University-Research Cooperation were held in Shanghai Municipal Committee of Political Consultative Conference. OPEN and Jiangnan University College of environmental and soil research cooperation case "five years of struggle to create a new technology of steel concrete structure" was successfully selected and highly evaluated by the experts at the meeting, the case of the selected projects are domestic large aircraft, nuclear power turbine welding rotor technology, synthetic artemisinin and other 12 excellent case of cooperation between industry, academia and research. 

The selection of OPEN project shows the innovative strength and practical achievements of the enterprise in the cooperation between industry, academia and research, and sets a model for the deep integration of industry, academia and research, and collaborative innovation.

The Good Collaborator Wins Easily--Selected Excellent Cases of Shanghai Industry-University-Research Collaboration is organized by Shanghai Association for the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Achievements, and it is the first time to collect typical cases in 15 years. The case of "Five years' struggle to create new technology of steel concrete structure" is a perfect collision between the innovative strength of enterprises and the scientific research strength of universities, which makes the "industry, academia and research" hit it off on a common ambition and mutual integration and win-win situation. The success of the project cooperation also reflects the clear division of labor between enterprises and universities, quick action, compact steps, go to the virtual and pragmatic, forming a good situation of "cooperation links interlocked, 'reading, research, production, use' tightly".

At the meeting, Chairman Chen Ming of OPEN made a speech as a representative of the enterprise. He expressed his heartfelt thanks for the government's affirmation and support of OPEN's industry-university-research project, which pointed out the direction of OPEN's research and development road, and the team was highly encouraged. OPEN will continue to deepen the cooperation between industry, academia and research, promote scientific and technological innovation, and contribute to the development of the industry by giving back to the society with practical actions. Mr. Jiang Yiren, Chairman of the 10th Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), wrote a foreword for the book and spoke highly of OPEN's innovative practices, encouraging the company to continue to drive development with innovation and enhance the efficiency of the industry.

Chairman Jiang's encouragement and experts' guidance injected new vigor into OPEN's development on the road of scientific and technological innovation, and also showed the great potential and fruitful results of industry-university-research cooperation.
