Institute Visit the "Tallest Warehouse in East China"

More than 30 structural engineers led by Chief Engineer Liu from the Structural Design Institute of Arcplus Group Modern Institute visited the Kunshan Feiyang Storage and Logistics Project that is constructed by OPEN on November 7.

Customer Manager Liao first introduced the Feiyang Project to everyone. The project has a total construction area of 130,000 square meters, with five above-ground floors, each 9.4 meters high, making it the tallest multi-story warehouse in East China. Starting from the end of 2021, the installation was completed in February 2023, saving at least six months of construction time compared to cast-in-place concrete structures.

At the site, everyone observed the CS-Frame columns and beams and learned about the connection methods of the beam-column joints, as well as the advantages of the CS-Frame System in terms of construction cost and time.

Through this visit, OPEN and the Modern Institute conducted more in-depth and detailed communication. The design institute also gained understanding and recognition of the innovative prefabricated structure. We’re hoping for more opportunities to exchange and discuss the application and development of innovative structures with the design institute in the future.
